So, I took German in college for an easy A to raise my GPA. Sounds silly, yet insane at the same time, but I pulled it off. My prof Doug, who I had for both semesters, taught us this particular song to help us remember the prepositions, to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb:
Durch, für, gegen, ohne, um;
Ohne, um;
Ohne, um.
Durch, für, gegen, ohne, um;
Ohne, um, entlang.
Which is through, for, against, without, around (around the corner) and around (around the perimeter of the lake).
I had that in my head for the better part of thirty minutes this morning. Annoying yes, but effective just the same.
Tomorrow I'll tell you about my weekend baby-sitting.
